How long does it take for Angelfish eggs to hatch?
If the water parameters are correct it takes Angelfish 48 hours for embryos to develop and then 72 hours to hatch. So from fertilization, it takes a total of 120 hours or 5 days for Angelfish eggs to hatch. Angelfish are unique and need the water chemistry to be within specific parameters in order for their eggs to hatch.Angelfish Need Perfect Water Chemistry For Eggs To Hatch
This is true in order for Angelfish to hatch their eggs the water needs to be within specific parameters. Now what parameters are these I hear you cry.
The water should be between 76-82F and the PH level (power of hydrogen level) how many hydrogen ions are in the water indicates how acidic the water is. Angelfish eggs need this to be a PH of between 7-8. The water hardness should be between 3-8 Dkh which measures how many carbonates are in the water. Carbonates are calcium and magnesium.
Also, make sure the water is aerated as the eggs need some oxygen too once this is accomplished those eggs if fertilized will hatch.
